Upgrading from MacroWorks 3

If you are upgrading from MacroWorks 3, we do recommend that you create a backup of your script file beforehand. This ensures, should something go wrong, that you will not lose your device programming. To save a backup file, follow these instructions in MW3 before installing MW3.1.

  • Open up the programming interface, and select the File menu
  • Choose "Save As" from the File menu
  • Save your script file somewhere you will remember, such as My Documents or your desktop, with a name you will recognize

Note: Currently there are some minor compatibility issues using older MacroWorks 3 scripts that contain text macros with line breaks. Typically this can be overcome by opening the key and performing some editing in MacroWorks 3.1. If you experience any difficulty, please report it below.
