What does the Programming Switch Do?

On the PS⁄2 X-keys, and USB X–keys in Memory Resident Mode the programming switch changes the state of the X–keys from Operating Mode to Programming Mode. The switch must me in operating position for the X–keys to play keystrokes.

With X–keys Macro Recorder Software, the programming switch changes the state of the X-keys so that it may receive programming data from the software. After Macro Recorder writes the data to memory in the X–keys, the switch must be returned to operating position.

With X–keys Macro Works the X–keys will work with the switch in either position. Flipping the switch is not required, but it can be used to launch and to close the X–keys Macro Maker application.
